BRIEF PROFILE DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PRACTICE
Jennifer Cane SC has a well-established practice in tax law and commercial disputes, both as a senior advocate and as an arbitrator. She is an arbitrator of the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa (AFSA), the Shanghai Arbitration Centre and the Chinese Africa Joint Arbitration Centre (CAJAC). She arranged the first international CAJAC moot competition and regularly participates in training advocates. She served as a member of the Bar Council, and as its Chair, and now serves as a member of the Judicial Services Commission. She initiated the concept of a fund for the mentorship of junior advocates and the programme is still successfully running in the group, and across the Johannesburg Bar.
